Coolant leaking!!!! help please!!!

Hey guys...my 01 Carrera Cab started to leak coolant. It leaked pretty badly. I took these pictures to show where the leakage is....but I'm not sure what to replace. What is this part anyway? and why would coolant be leaking from here? Any help would be appreciated.

The water pump is known to fail around 100k miles. If it is water pump, there is a diy in renntech, pay the $25 to hace access to the instructions. Then, get a pump from online, search, about $175, and in 3-4 hours it should be changed and ready to go. Not too difficult just tedious. Or, pay somebody between &800-$1,200.

So is the water pump failure causes the coolant to leak?

Yea,it's the water pump. Mine went out of no where one day. It's not to bad to change just a pain in the *** because of the tightness.
