What wheel is this?

I haven't been able to get behind my wheels to check on a part number. What is the model of these wheels? Thanks.

No. They're some of my favorite OEM wheels. Just curious because they aren't on my original build sheet but I know that they were available on the 996.

They are the option sport wheels for the MK1 996. And the same design but wider for the MK1 GT3 (8 inch versus 7.5 inch front). The non-GT3 set should be 7.5x18 and 10x18. I have a set of these with relatively new Conti sport tires that I probable want to sell if anyone is interested.

If someone is looking to replicate a 996 mk1 GT3(not sold here), these are the wheels to have to complete the theme IIRC. However even though made by BBS, not the lightest wheel in Porsche's lineup.

All this is great. Thanks. My 3rd Porsche and I still don't know anything about all of the different wheels. I have the 7.5 and 10" wheels.

I saw it, thanks. I have a MKII 996 and the specs for these are the same as GT3, using and 8" front, so I don't how a on 7.5" in the front would look as I'm guessing it would be set back 1/4" compare to an 8", but maybe it wouldn't be noticeable? I'm also considering the Carrera IV wheel from the 997.2 which I was told fits, but not sure if I like the style and how it'll look....thoughts anyone?

My 996 is set up like a MK1 and I have 7.5" front wheels. It looks fine. My 7.5 fronts actually fill up the fender well better than the 10's do in the rear. I don't think you would ever notice a 1/2" difference. You could always use a slightly wider tire on the wheel or a spacer to push out the slight difference if you liked. I like the look of the 2.5" difference between front and rear. And, there's no negative to it unless you simply want the 8" front.

When I had these wheels on my 996 I also used the Porsche OEM 5 mm wheel spacers. These were standard on the MK1 GT3. In my opinion they were a nice combination with these wheels.

Sending you a PM now.

Thanks for the input guys... Given I'm currently running the stock 17's which are a 7" wheel these will be an improvement. I was thinking of 265/35 in the back instead of 285/30, I don't want the ride to be much stiffer than it is, the roads in Pittsbugh have potholes like landmines, granted fun to (try) to avoid. I'd def like to find a clean set of these, so far all seems to have curb rash, which is frustrating as I'm always cautious of those pesky curbs, apparently others aren't!
