Sorry for the late reply. I need to fix our email notifications...

Anywhow, the pulley for the 996 depends if you have a 3.4L or 3.6L. Which under drive pulley do you have?

RSS crank pulley on a 3.4. I believe it's between 15-20% reduction pulley but stock size serp. belt.
Can you explain why 3.4 or 3.6 matters? They both use the same pulley and I thought 3.4 or 3.6 use the same size supercharger belt size? Isn't target psi the same for both?

Not sure what you mean by that, but if they haven't responded to you it's because we are in the middle of making changes in the technical department in response to the feedback we are receiving. If you'd like, please give me a call or email sales1@vf-engineering.com. Thank you for your patience while we are undergoing our revamp.

Just finished my install two nights ago!! Wasn't that bad at all. Especially when you can look back on this board and see previous installs. So thanks to Justatoy, Purplxed, and DouginKC, it went pretty smooth. I just started her up and went around the block a couple times and so far so good. Gotta get past my break in period and then let her go!

I would say I spent ~ 20-25 hrs doing this install.

Injectors were kinda tough, you can do it without lowering the engine.

I used a "drill pump" to fill the charge cooler system and get all the air bubbles out.

I thought toughest part was fitting the S/C on and getting alternator lined up so the bolt will fit through. Then you have very little space to tighten up that bolt.

But I feel so good that I was able to accomplish this.

Congrats! Let's see some pics. Is your DME already flashed? How long does it take for VF to return the DME?

Not many pics.

I live about 20 mins from VF so I dropped it off on a friday and picked it up on the following Wednesday.

test fit all the parts, I had to trim the silicone pipe 90 that connects the charge cooler and the throttle body, make sure the charge cooler right corner will fit low enough and over enough to let the right engine lid shock to clear when the lid closes.

Looks great, i am seriously thinking of keeping the C4S and S/C'ing it but just not sure right now. How much power did you put down, or expect to, and let us know how it drives.
GR C4S and S/C is awesome!

I'm a sucker for Guards Red with the All-Black hardware. Nice work, Tristan!

@trisgale
I see you also have the all-black supercharger. Did you have to remove the black, anodized paint from the SC shafts and spacers (like I'm having to do)?

How's it running? Did you install one step cooler spark plugs?

i got a press to get them on, i didn't remove the black powder coat/ or paint. It was a tight fit.

Plugs: I went with straight copper NGK BKR7E, gapped at 026. These plugs won't last as long as platinum, iridium etc, but I plan on changing them frequently so I can keep an eye on how the car is running.

everything is running fine. about 500 miles since installed.

My butt dyno is telling me it hauls butt! once you get get up in rpm, you can hear the valve open up letting air go through since its making so much boost.

Car definetly puts a smile on my face when I get on it.

I tried to press them on too, but failed miserably, and ruined a perfectly good pulley and brand new bearing from VXB.com. I had to drill three holes into the side of the pulley and yank it out with pullers! Jeff over at VF said to "sand" off the black anodized paint... right... more like take a steel file to it, and pray you don't take too much off! As you can see in my photo above, I have just the spacer left to do -- this is not how I'd prefer to spend 45 minutes Perhaps this thread will help future customers. More photos and info here:

Frustration aside, I'm glad to hear it's providing you a lot of enjoyment. I'm looking forward to finishing my install this month.

Looks great. For those in California, what do you do when it's time for smog? Is it ok with it installed or do you have to remove it and put it back after smog inspection? Thanks.
