I've PM'ed ppl about this and asked this same question a multiple times. No one seems to want to answer it [either that or they're too busy]. I'm guessing it's not smog legal.

VF470
Call, email, or PM and bolt on a 150 horsepower today!
  • 470 hp / 360 ft/lbs
  • 6.0 PSI
  • V3 supercharger
  • ECU software flash
  • 1 yr or 12k mi. warranty

We designed the kit around the Vortech V-3 because of it's size and efficiency. Utilizing a larger blower allows us to produce the same amount of boost while spinning the supercharger at a much lower RPM. This not only provides dependability, but more importantly produces less heat from the blower itself. Also, it is a self-contained unit which negates the use of extra oil lines and heavy oil coolers.

Combined with our integrated air-to-water cooling components using an OEM Bosch water pump and Factory grade bar and plate heat exchangers, our VF475 provides long-lasting and dependable power no matter the conditions or the driving style

We thought we recognized this picture. Got 3 more going after this one and about to order one more for a brand new project. Great kit.

Last year I strongly considered the VF kit. Vivid Racing advised me to upgrade my clutch with the VF SC installed to a Spec Stage 2 even though I said my clutch had only 5k miles at the time. This had a lot to do with scaring me off, hearing this from their rep.

Sorry for the late reply, guys. YES our kits use the stock clutch. The entire kit was designed for 100% stock cars, as are all of our supercharger systems.

I've added about 1500 miles to the odometer, running the supercharger. The stock clutch is holding up just fine.
