TOTALLY different on the Turbo... On an NA car we see between 7-10HP with our headers. NA cars react very different to the headers than a turbo..

I've heard some claims, but I've never heard of any proven gains on the NA 996 engine, even when combined with a full intake/exhaust/ECU upgrade. If you're planning on racing the car, then maybe you'd notice a small difference since the car will be running at high RPM all the time. Otherwise, save your money.

Agreed. Had headers on my old 996 and the difference was zippo. Money much better spent elsewhere.

Afternoon,
Here at Suncoast MotorSports, the rumors are true. We do have 996 n/a headers. The dynos don't lie. Atleast not often...
$1295.00 per set
i will post pictures and dynos next.

I had all the dyno charts before I bought mine too. Don't get me started on the variability of dyno results...

Headers are a waste of $$$ on NA 996's. You'll never notice the difference in the seat of the pants dyno, and that's what matters.

Or are all the customers wrong?

We have had plenty of customers very happy with the result of headers, but there are always some who do not feel the difference. Its different with all people, some can feel 2 HP some don't feel a difference untill you are gaining at least 20HP. The headers do gain up to 10HP, whether or not the customer will feel that gain.....

A big question is also where the 10HP is gained...throughout the powerband? Only at high rpms? Gains in HP through exhaust/headers sometimes equate to loss of torque as well...just my 2 cents.

I have a cargraphic exhaust (love the sound) and I'm considering changing the headers and the cats for more sound and HP.

Cargraphic stated that the HP gain is approx. 40HP, any truth to that statement?

It cost approx. $4k for the upgrade. Is it worth the dollars$$$
