Cat Delete or 200 Cell Cats

Quick question, I'm currently running Fisters Exhaust and stock cats. I'm looking for a bit more sound and was wondering how much louder the car would be with cat delete x-pipes vs 200 cell cats? I did look on Youtube but most are muffler and cat delete. Any thoughts?

Thanks

All the exhausts that I heard without a cat had varying amounts of raspiness to them. Both will be louder than your stock but non cat will have more raspiness to it.I guess it would also boil down to your emission laws if you wanna be a law abiding citizen.

As for me I will be doing non-x crossover pipes without cats this winter sometime. The way i see it, I quit being a law abiding citizen the minute I bought my Porsche.

It's actually quite a bit louder, I have the cat delete and it's worth it. I also noticed better throttle response and seems to pull faster at the top end.

Also interested to see what kind of ecu options you have.

Well, if I do anything I'll porbably just go muffler delete since going catless or 200 cell cats would need to re-tune the chip, which I don't want to do. And looks as though "no CEL" can't be guaranteed either.

My New Cat Pipes took 2 years of Daily Driving and Track Time.
This included Round trip to Florida from Toronto, Round trip to Atlanta from Toronto & Gumball 2010 N/A Leg and lots of Track Time @ Mosport Raceway.
Bacially did about 60k in two years on the pipes before i got CEL for them
Then i just got my exsisting EVOMSit Tune updated for the CEL and no more CEL

I have cat delete non-xpipe with tubi exhaust, and is very loud at WOT, but around town partial throttle, is not too bad. I didn't get a cell light. The only reason I did this was cause I dont want to buy any more cats, as it gets expensive, already went through a set. It's not too hard to swap, about an 45min-hour.

This is the same combo I will be running this spring time. Do you have any sound clips or videos by chance?

I only have been able to find videos of just the Tubi's running with stock cats thus far.

I run the cat delete cross over pipes and have never had the CEL come on as long as you have all 4 O2 sensors installed you should be fine. With the cat delete pipes and the Fister modded exhaust the car sounds great. Below 4000 RPMS the noise is very tame and above it comes alive and sounds great, I get compliments all the time on the exhaust note.

Which X-Pipes are you using?

Fabspeed muffler bypass and cat bypass. Absolutely no resonator, no 200 cell. Straight pipes all the way. I love it!

The first question is if you know 100% for sure if you are running a tuned ECU or stock. Most tuned ECU's turn down the threshold for the catalyst so no CEL should come on running without cats.

Secondly, just because you're not personally getting any doesn't mean others won't for sure. In my experience, ecu's(German Ecu's) have different levels of how finicky they can be due to the software revisions and such they generally go through. Same thing for bulb out errors when using LED's. Some experience a light warning from the LCM where as others are fine.
