Quick Suspension question for my '00 cab

Hi,.. Been a member for a while but mostly lurk trying to pick up ideas and had a question...

I have a 2000 6/spd cab and wanted to put on the pss9 suspension I picked up like 6 months ago...

Will I be alright just adding the coil overs? I see a ton of threads with multiple others parts added but... What I wanted to do is just add the coilovers until I decide what sway bars and drop links to go with.

Any gotchas? I have new upper mounts ans have added needle bearings between the upper and lower springs just so I don't get the dreaded pss9 clunk but just wanted to know if it was cool to put these on this weekend and slowly add the rest.

I know I can purchase all the pieces and take it to a shop but I would rather do all the work myself... Only issue being I can only work weekends as, while I live in Virginia,.. I work full time in st Louis and the cab is my airport commute car.

Thanks for any info,.. It will be appreciated.

Bill

You should be able to unless there are current issues with the suspension. You may need to do the drop links though.

You might have to do drop links with the coilovers, I think the stock ones might physically be too short (or long) to fit on coilovers. The sway bars and other components are not necessary for coilovers.

awesome,... thanks for the responses.

That's what I was afraid of. Oh well,.. back to ordering parts!

Any suggestions on where to get the drop links?... I was looking at Pelican and a couple of other vendors and the prices seem to run all over the place.

Thanks a ton again!

You do not have to change the drop links. The PSS9s will replace the existing dampers and springs. Drop links stay the same unless you are planning on changing the sway bars, which depending on what sway bars you use may require new drop links (i.e., GT3 bars would).

Whow The coilovers should come with drop links unless you want something like Agency Power.

Agency Power has had a few of their drop links fail, i would stick with TRG, rennline, or tarret for links
