Help Or Tips With Door Sill Removal And Install

Smile Help Or Tips With Door Sill Removal And Install

Anyone helpful tips or info removing the stock black sills on an 02 996 would be great....to get them off easier and to remove the residue....thanks in advance

I've removed mine to replace with Carbon Fiber sills, I assume this is why your removing yours. Only advice is get a flat head screwdriver and pry up. They are held by heavy duty doublesided tape. There really isn't a reason to remove the residue since whatever your putting over it will cover it. And it makes for another sticky surface, so don't bother wasting a gallon of goo gone and 3 hours of your time

Be carefull with a screwdriver.
I used a wide plastic putty knife.

Actually my Wife performed the operation for me after she bought me the sills.

You mean she bought the sills and installed them? Good god if I wasn't getting married in like 2 months I'd ask if she had a sister
