H&R Coilover install

Just bought some H&R coilovers for my 03 Carrera C2..Does anybody know of a place that will install them in the SoCal area and not charge $500.00-$650 bucks? I mean I want it done right but is this the usual price for the install? Thanks..

$5-600 does not sound bad if that includes install, setting height/rake to your request, corner bal, & align.

i agree with greggT. 800+ is the going rate for porsche shops. remember, you have to pay the porsche tax . my buddy had his h&r coilovers installed on his audi s4 and it cost him 300 bucks! maybe try an audi shop instead.

its around that price but you get 2 alignments with it ...

1st alignment right after they install it , the second is after a few weeks or months...

when the springs settle in and they adjust it again ...

I've had H&R on a few cars, BMW, Audi and I thought I'd give their coilovers a shot..Usually I'd pay around $150.00 for the install of shocks and springs on the aforementioned vehicles.Just wondering why so much more for the 996? Is there that much more labor involved?

there is yes. I was just had my 996 align, corner balance, raised a little, and sway bars adjusted and I paid about $300 for everything. so install at $300 sounds about right.
good luck I don't know shops personally in SOCAL, but I know people in Scottsdale if you wanna drive LOL

If your looking for a good deal Try Autobacs in Stanton I had my M030 ROW suspension installed for $600 aligned. They install suspensions all day long on the asian cars. So you are paying their rate. I have had them do work on my 996 and CS I could not be happier with their price and service. They do stand behind their work. Highly recommended.... If Arling/Lucent is closer then you can't go wrong with his shop too.

Search for Autobacs I did a write up about a year and a half ago. They also installed my PSE for $100.

The Dealer(s) wanted $1100 to install the M030 Suspension. So if you can get it done for $5-600 you are doing great.

I paid about $800 here plus tax for the install of the M030, which should be easier than the coil-overs since you don't have to adjust the height. This was at a local porsche shop and included an alignment. If your paying $600 with an alignment, then it's a great price.

I think It takes a good 4-5 hours to do the instllation + Alignment from what I remember. I was not their during most of the install so I am not sure when they got to my car. I do know it was 6PM when they finished.
