Please Help...? regarding H&R coilover

I have an 03' manual C4S and am about to purchase the revised H&R coilover setup. The problem is that there is no listing for a C4S coilover---it is only offered for a C4 or a Turbo.

I originally purchased the H&R coilover set up for a Turbo since the C4S has the same suspension (correct??) but when i double checked with H&R, they told me to purchase the coilover for the C4. This didn't make sense to me and got me worried so i returned the damn thing.

Can anyone tell me which one i'm supposed to purchase?? I original thought the Turbo setup would work but the H&R tech told me differently...Can anyone clear this up?

I also purchased the H&R sway bars for the Turbo with the intention of putting it on my C4S, since they don't make one specific for a C4S. Will this work or should i just return these also?

I have 24hrs before the 20% coupon for Performance products expires so i need help ASAP! thanks

for what i know u should be using the Turbo set up (at least for RUF & Bilstein set up). if u decide to go with H&R, good luck! i had horrible experience with them.

I ended up getting the Bilstein Pss-9 setup for a C4 (to use on my C4S) I was told H&R developed the spring for this system, so i figure the spring rate would be the same. A Turbo is supposedly 300lbs heavier than a C4S so the spring rate is stiffer, the springs used in the coilover for a C4 is not as stiff so the difference in weight b/w C4 & C4S is less as opposed to the weight difference b/w C4S & a Turbo.

I paid just over $2500 for the Pss-9 setup. Is this a good price or did i pay too much?

I think i have the Euro version because the box is in German. Whats the difference between US and Euro version?

O3 C4S,

the performance products catalog didn't offer a Turbo setup for the pss-9's. Why wouldn't the C4 setup work? wouldn't the spring rate be the same as the H&R setup for a C4 since H&R makes the springs for the Pss-9's? (at least thats what i heard)

looking at the box right now its in both English and German, How do i tell what version it is by looking at the coilover?

that's what i had originally thought but...I was told by some people from PCA that it isn't exactly the same...the turbo springs have a higher spring rate because the engine is approx 300lbs heavier, I got the same story when i talked to the H&R techs.

People have been telling me the C4 setup is a better match than the turbo.

I checked with Gert (carnewal) and he confirmed that the pss-9 setup for a C4 is the correct one to use for my C4S.

thanks

Technically you could fit either.

The Turbo's spring rate is stiffer to support the extra 300lbs from the turbo engine.

The C4S is just slightly heavier than a C4 due to the widebody but a lot lighter than the turbo. the spring rate on the C4 setup works better because the difference in spring stiffness & car weight is less. This is what i was told by both and H&R tech and Gert from carnewal.
