Carbon fiber hood for 911

Guys,

I was wondering what you have heard around town as far as a fair price for a carbon fiber hood to fit the 996, 997, and boxster. What would you guys pay for one? Is there any local shops around LA metro that carry hoods?

numerous board sponsors should have em.

i wouldn't pay more than 600$ for one. if u go thru gemballa u pay thru the roof (like 2 grand) but are guarenteed a quality product and fitment.

I would spend the money on a quality product, It will save you money in the long run, and it is a Porsche you would want the best fit and finish possible wouldnt you?

i thnk it depnds more on manufacturer rep rather than price. gemballa = good.
getty design = hit or miss
porsche OEM = perfect...buch damn it it pricey

my only issue (not to bash ur decision paul, afterall, ur car did turn out great), is that for the price of the OEM or gemballa hoods..u could go thru 3 CF hoods from other lesser know manufacturers, and i'll bet one of them will fit rite. besides, if they don't fit rite u can always get a refund.
