Hello all, I've been lurking and searching for a while, but until now I didn't have the right to post. I was really surprised that it took over a month for the site administrators to confirm my membership.
I know it's Porsche and mostly exotic forum, but I drive a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. My brother, though, recently purchased a 1999 911 Carrera (996). I don't know enough to really contribute a lot yet, so I probably won't post up a lot of useful information quite yet, but eventually. At least I'll search and refrain from questions that have already been answered 10 times before. Here's a picture of my car, I'll follow with a few of the Porsche, but I can't quite figure out how to post more than one picture at a time.

it is turbocharged. I don't know if you're familiar with Subaru's, but the Legacy has basically the same 2.5 liter turbo motor as a WRX STI. The Legacy is slightly detuned and has a slightly smaller turbo, making 250/250 at the crank as opposed to the sti's 300/300. But... I have recently ordered myself a bigger turbo for Christmas - a reasonable goal on pump gas should be 330-350hp, 350ish tq to the wheels.
Enough about me - I don't know the official color of the Porsche, but it's not silver, it's sort of a goldish color, is that uncommon? Maybe the previous owner painted it.

yeah... I think that's the color - nice! I didn't think that I had seen any other Porsche's with that color cruising around either, it's pretty unique.
