H & R Spacers any experience?!

Ok guys I just lowered my car with the regular H&R springs. It's a 99' 996. Now it needs to be spaced out. Ive used the H&R spacer setup before and have been very happy. Any idea what size I should go with front and rear? the car has the 18" Carrera lightweights with 295's on the rear and 225(soon to be 235's) on the front. All help is appreciated as always!

wheels spacers

I just did mine with PSS9s on OEM 18s

I used 7mm front and 15mm rear. I love the way it looks.

Pardon me for my lack of knowledge but exactly what do spacers do for your car? I recently installed the X74 package on my year 2000 996 and am very pleased with the look and improved handling. Would the spacers widen the wheels and improve the handling further still?
