993 C2S did NOT have a whaletile...It was a C2 with turbo body but a regular carrera tail except it had a bar down the middle making the one engin lid grill into 2....

I loved the C2S, was my favorite 993 (yes liked it better then the turbo). My neighbor had one, and I just loved that split "grill" in the back!!

The split grill was a nice touch. It was meant to mimic the split grill on the 356 cars.

Talking envy....

I was stuck behind one(not really stuck, but I am a slower pace driver) on the last BayArea Pcar drive up here before the weather got bad........I love the looks of that car and it definately does NOT have a whale tail. The owner had his ALL tricked out and dialed in suspension wise. Later that day, I mentioned that IF I ever went back to a 993 series Pcar, THAT would be the one to have

Something about that aircooled "WAIL" that is simply intoxicating

Did they ever build one? I remember seeing 993 C4S cabs, and I fell in love with that body style back in 1996........its the image of the 911 that ALWAYS comes to mind whenever I think of a wide-body Cabriolet.........

Ben, You got me daydreaming back to those days....

I think the 40th Anniversary car would count as a C2S.
