PSS9 Dampning Setting Question

Okay so PSS9's are being installed on my car right now. Should have her tomorow. Now i belive the Dampning has 9 settings. Can ppl with PSS9's tell me what to set it on?

This is a Daily Driver which will not be tracked. For those with C4S Stock Suspension Experienece, i want it to be softer than that.

My Mech is suggesting to do 1 Rear and 2 Front for now and go from there, which sounds fine by me. But more help is appreciated, thanks

the lower the settins, the stiffer the it is...so for daily driver ill seggest 7F 6R and see how it goes...we are running 6F and 4R and feels really solid around bends...

I am 6 front and 5 rear....its nice....not too harsh, and still great handling. I would start at 7 front and 6 rear....then go from there.

These settings are not stiffness settings! They are damper settings (how quick the coilovers respond to input.) So the lower the setting the faster the response time. I have run 5/4, 4/3 and am now on 3/2...but it matters how you like your ride, what tires you're running, etc.

So does this not apply to C2s(bump stop interference on low ride height settings)??

It does not apply to the question being asked by the poster. Of course you can install any coilover wrong, including slamming the PSS9.

Hey Zookie,

My PSS9's are currently set to 4F 3R and it's too harsh for quickly deteriorating Toronto streets. I'll be readjsuting to 6F 5R, I think that should do the trick.

Are you also installing GT3 sways?

Cheers,
Stan

when you reduce the damping response time, the side effect is a stiffer ride. so it is a stiffness setting, sort of....

i run 4R 5F on 19's with GT3 swaybars and agency power drop links. seems fine to me. suspension feels taught, but not overly aggressive. only slighty stiffer than stock but handles 100x better. night and day from my stock shocks/aftermarket spring setup.

you can't slam the pss9's. bilstein flat out told me that this is a street suspension and that if i want to slam the car i should buy something else. go much lower than 35-40mm, and you'll be risking riding on the bumpstops. although there are people on here that run them lower and report no problems. i have enough issues getting in and out of steep driveways so i stuck with a more conservative drop of around 35mm or so. about the same as the drop i got from my aftermarket spring setup. not to mention these suspension pieces are expensive all the way around (purchase, install, alignment, etc) and didn't want to run the risk of over compressing the shocks and something failing.
