Am I smoking crack, or is it doable to find that discount somewhere?... My dealer in dallas wont go more than $6500 off list, and I cant afford the car the way I have equipped it w/out some more discount...

Want to know whether I should be giving in, removing options, looking at other dealers, or packing my bags up to go home :-)

I got about $10k off my '03 C2. Not sure about '04 but I can't imagine the demand for them being and higher? Have you tried shopping around at other dealers or even out of state?

not yet... i am busy lazy right now. if i hear from the "experts" on this board that $8-9k off list is doable, then I will launch a search...first i wanted to be sure i was not in complete lala land...didnt want to waste my time chasing something that is unreasonable

the 10k you got off the 03 - was it on the lot or ordered? and when did u get it -- meaning, did you grab it recently in 04 when they were dying to clear 03 inventory? if you ordered it/got it last year, you are giving me some hope.... what dealer? in California?

I got $8,000 off of my 40th Anniversary 911 without a problem. Look around for a better deal.

I think it's very doable. I got $16k off MSRP on my car.

This is also the last year for the 996's. When those 997's come in. I'm am sure the dealers will push even harder.

$8 to 9k off MSRP might be difficult for an ordered C2 because Porsche has cut enough production quotas but it is doable for cars on dealer's lot, if you're willing to compromise

I purchased my car at Michael Stead in Walnut Creek, California. Call Mike Soya, tell him I recommended you to give a call. He is the General Sales Manager and took good care of me. Great dealer.
