Opinion of PCCB brakes ?

Does anyone have an opinion of ceramic brakes vs. non, for TT and TT- S. Weighing options for performance, cost, longevity etc....Thanks ahead of time.

Unless you track seriously, then they are not worth the money...the first generation had an issue where the rotors would wear prematurely...Porsche advised owners to remove the ceramic rotors and replace with steel....the 2nd generation didnt have this problem, but the stopping distances did not decrease, the advantage is heat dissipation. So unless you are experiencing brake fade due to heat buildup, you really wont see any advatage over the normal brakes of the same size....

You save 37 lbs going pccb which is supposedly a noticable difference in handling and acceleration from what ive read. (I have not driven a non pccb turbo hard so Im not speaking from personal experience)

The biggest thing for me is no brake dust ever! Your wheels and brakes will always be clean!

If your track time is less than 25% of the drive time.... I'd save the money...

If used and maintained properly PCCB's will last much longer than regular steel brakes.

John,
i suggest u find one to try. might prove urself wrong. btw, PCCB is great for normal daily use.

Luis is right. a properly taken care PCCB will last much longer than the steel brake set up. plus we don't have too many full-time racers here. for weekend track fun PCCB is great.
