aerokit paint MD/DC area
Hi Guys-
Do you know what I might expect to pay to have an OEM aerokit cup painted for my 99 (Guards Red)? I am looking at the full aerokit including taco wing. Any Recommendations in the MD/DC area?

If want the best place for this kind of work, then you'll take it to Wagonwork on Rt. 1, Crystal City, VA. These guys are meticulously **** about prep, paint & install. It will cost you an arm & leg there though. I only use them when insurance pays.
I recently(last week) looked into this aerokit for a customer. I found that the complete kit is not available from porsche. There are 0 available in the US or Germany.
However, they can sell all the parts seperate except for the taco wing. The wing is not available from Porsche right now and no word on when they will be.
So, we decided to get all the parts from Porsche except the taco wing. Then, get an aftermarket taco replica to complete the kit....in CF, for half the price.
Paint estimate was $1500. Does not include parts or install.

The $1500 included paint, prep, install of parts. The kit I had to find on my own, bought front bummer, side rockers, and rear spats OEM, found a OEM wing but they wanted $3600 just for the wing, so I decided to go with a aftermarket wing that looks exactly like the OEM wing for $1200. After everything was said and done spent about $4k on the kit, but it was worth every penny!!
upon second look...The paintshop added 3.5 hrs of labor to the estimate so I guess they quoted install too. Sorry for the mixup.

the bumper, skirts and rear skirts are all OEM. The rear spoiler is aftermarket knockoff. I would expect the fitment to be very good with minimal prep.
If its not too hard to install myself, I would probably do it. If it is not a DIY I don't mind paying the $.
Thanks for the info.

Little far for you, but try D and V Autobody in Chantilly (ask for Kevin).

Call Kevin's Cell. He's a nice guy. He painted the front fascia of my buddy's Viper GTS (He's forum member pjb). I just talked to Kevin today and he is going to be installing my MISHA GT2 wing (CAN'T WAIT!!!) on my C4S. Paul (PJB) is **** about his cars as am I and if he recommends and trusts them, then I feel comfortable recommending as well. G/L.
