Correct ^^^, throwing money into your car does NOT necessarily equates to high HP gain. Before you want to mod your car, think of the purpose of the mod. Is it a DD, Track, or both. Since I don't really track my car, I really don't need the high power gain @ high RPM, I want good smooth power flow @ lower RPM range where I use it the most. Plan your mods, read whats available and understand if it will increase power where you use it most. I would love to have an SC to gain an extra 100 ponies but how offen will I drive in that territory (150+mph), to some it is justifiable but to most I believe it is money spent unwisely. My 2c.....

 

HP has output has nothing to do with car speed...but engine speed. You can hit maximum hp at maximum rpm going as slow as 40 mph, gear dependent. You can bounce off the rev limiter 5 times before you hit 150 mph.

 

thanks for the explanation... Unlike most of you I only get to drive my car 2 months in a year cause I work in NIgeria and my car is in Lebanon, so its always nice to make noticeble changes and keep the HP going up. The Fabspeed mufflers were great and i just bought an evoms air kit.. Just looking for a next mod to do.. maybe i'll wait for th CHP and see wht that does.

I read an article in the papers here that these "419" letters that they send account to about 3-4billion dollars of income into the Nigerian economy... pretty amazing! abc did a show about this a few months ago.

I got a pm stating what this is. Seems like an alternative to the plenum.

Nine9Six, thnx for your interest. Basically the design is very simple and hopefully very effective. If we understand how air flow and how Porsche design their plenum then we know there's cure for all the turbulence within the plenum. I made an insert that can be install onto the existing plenum which helps divert incoming air more efficiently and smoother to each bank of the intake, this in theory should help produce more HP gain. I've done numerous prototype, test and retest. Now that I have a basic platform I can fine tune this insert to smooth out the HP gain between 6-7k RPM and add more torque to the low end between 3-4k RPM. Here is the design.
