grease stains on windows, again

So what's the deal with this staining?
I already had both windows fixed under warranty and here it is less than a year later and the greasy dots are back!!!
I do have an extended warranty but this isn't enough of a bother to go in for.
Is there really no way to fix this for life? What is the cause that makes this leak? Is it something that I'm doing?

Are the stains near the top rear of the window in the corner?

Yep.
Little round grease dots just like the last time they did this.
It has been less then a year since they fixed it last. Irritating.
There have been threads around somewhere that I read about this but I haven't yet taken the time to search for them. I was kind of wondering if this isn't something that can be fixed for good or if this is going to happen over time again and again.

I think that's what he means, because I've had the same thing since my car was new -- for 6years now.

The spots, streaks, whatever....are a PITA.
They were fixed once but are back again. I am assuming by the comments thus far that these aren't really going to be fixed in some permanent fashion.
Bummer.

Ok those are what the stops the window from rattling. The dealer I think cleans up and pushes them back a little but they still catch grease from inside, two options:

- Remove them and live with the rattle.
- Put some felt dots on them from home depot, involves removing the door.

I run my A/C most of the time and when I roll the windows down I just live with it.

I also brought in my car under warranty for the grease pads in both windows. They were both replaced. Again, a year later they're back and the car is no longer under warranty. One of the mech guys said to just do it yourself by taking off the door panel, taking a long rod with some alcohol wipes on the end and just cleaning the grease off the pads. Haven't done it yet. I just keep a micofiber towel in the car and just keep on wiping. Hope this helps.

Rocky-
I've been doing the same MF towel too and I suppose by the sound of this, it will be an ongoing thing.

It'll never stop, 3 months later and the grease will be back on them. Just keep a MF towel handy. They sell small ones and some towels especially for glass (feel like the ones for your glasses) don't even need any Windex on them.

Luckily I have a cabriolet, but wow...give it up for German engineering for pads that have infinite supply of grease... Felt idea is not bad...
