Car feels slower after Giac flash

Just had car flashed and it feels slower.Feels like I lost torque down below 4K and did not gain much in the higher rpms.Part throttle stock felt more responsive.Thinking about going back to stock,if thats what I had before. Can Giac reburn my original program back to my ecu.Anybody else get this after a flash.

mmm ECU Flash usually gives you more Top End... It moves the whole Powerband to higher RPM's... Thats for N/A Cars... Force Inducted cars, its a whole different story... Also it takes a week or two for the ECU to adapt to the new Program... So give it a little time... If no good, go back and let us know... Even im looking to do this...

So when you say smoothed out the powerband do you mean softened up the bottom end?

Is it the kick in the butt you periodically feel when a stock car goes through the power band you miss? I have found un-smooth power delivery really effects the "butt o meter" and makes you think you have more power than you do.

Why do people contunie to believe that the computer takes time to adjust for mods? Urban myth is all it is, reinforced by people who's technical knowledge comes from Google searches. At WOT, any any all changes are immediate.

If you're not satisfied with the ECU flash, just request for a refund!

your pocket is lighter, the car should feel faster ... give it time, you have to change your driving style... plus you gain an extra 100 rpm before cut off at 7200

There are less gains on a 3.6L car than a 3.4L car...The gains are like 5hp...thinking you will feel 5hp on a 300+ hp car is crazy....you wont feel it either way, what you feel is the throttle remap...if you dont like it, return it. My opinion is these things give you so little performance boost, its pure ego...only you know its there. So your car may have 260 RWHP instead of 258....again, you wont feel it.

What I do feel is a soft map.The car is slower and requires more pedal to move.Ive been down the flash road with other cars and I can tell when Im losing or gaining.I just wish I could find a affordable custom flash from somewhere.I was skeptical about this canned flash and this proves to me that one size does not fit all.

Theres not alot of HP to be gained on this car like others....A custom flash will not give you alot of performance...just cost you alot of money....again your car MAYBE with intake, exhaust, sport cats and headers AND a chip flash will get you MAYBE 15-20 HP......Thats like $4k....and make sure you get the right combo of mods...not everyones headers will work well with everyones cats and exhaust....The only mod that will give you some real numbers is a supercharger...that'll get you about 100hp....but be closer to $7k.

I agree....but you are not gonna squeeze much more power out of the stock motor....sooo you are left to enjoy it as it is, or buy a TT.....In my opinion, the way a 996 drives is GREAT....its got plenty of power and its VERY fast...where you need mods is suspension which is altered for US bumper height regulations.
