Illumine reflector in the tail lights?

Hello,

today a C4S was driving in front of me.

I noticed that the reflector in the tail lights is - as opposed to the C2/4 - illumined.

Is there any possibility to change this on a 'normal' Carrera?

Thanks, Cade

Of course...

In all seriousness, I would think you could, but I don't know if they are the same size lights.

Not the same lights. C4S uses the same lights as a Turbo and they don't fit a narrow body.

Yes - the C4S/Turbo lights look much better than the C2/4 ones...

I thought it would be possible to insert a bulb on the backside of the light.
Maybe the reflector is too thick...

Is there a way to remove the entire tail light assembly and inspect it from the back-side? Then, check and see if there is a way to remove the reflector.

This picture shows the backside of the light.

The reflector should be on the position of the wiring loom.

Ahh, sealed unit!

Good luck. If you decide to take it on, make sure you silicon her back together, unless you like having water accumulate inside your tail light.

Or, possibly take a dremel type tool, cut through the plastic and attempt to get to the reflector that way... But if the worst happens, you are out a tail light.

Hmm, it would be good to check the translucence before the handicrafts...

Any ideas?

find someone with a wrecked/broken taillight, buy it for cheap, and perform exploratory surgery. Ebay can probably help ya out.

You may go the LED route and avoid the reflectors behind the bulb.
