tiny mod - endurance foglights

changed the stock foglights to the hoen endurance foglight. Driving around with foglights on is not my business, but the xenon is so close to daylight in the mirrors, that you are happy to get a little bit more attraction when you are rushing on the autobahn by day. You will not believe what kind of blind ****** you can find over there.

by definition "fog" lights are supposed to be yellow. yellow cuts through the "fog" much better than "White" light.

I took my Hoen Xenonmatch bulbs out after finding out that they burn 15 degrees hotter than stock. The Hoen parking light bulbs melted my turn signal housing. I'm not sure if the foglight housing is able to handle the increased heat either. Did you find out if those Endurance bulbs burn any hotter than stock? I'd keep a close eye on these if I were you.

Only the W5W city light burns 15 degrees hotter than stock, the xenonmatch oem wattage and endurance and also all weather generate same as stock bulb surface temps.

The difference is the W5W glass is not coated but the glass itself is dark blue which increases heat retention. The W5W is also hard glass vs. UV cut on the fog lights which adds to heat retention.

I've been running the fog lamps in various cars for years, no problem.

I'm sure that the foglights are fine, I just didn't really want to risk it with these Hoen bulbs. The C5W license plate bulbs are also the same as the W5W bulbs as well. I removed those too.

It wasn't easy, that's for sure. You have to put the car on a lift or at least raise it off the ground, take the outer cap off and then twist/pull the inner socket out. Be SURE to get the wiring/harness back in exactly the same way too. Reverse the procedure. It's MUCH easier with the car on a lift.
