eclou,

With the upgraded suspension on your tt, how does it feel in terms of handling compared to the gt3 you used to have. A gt3 has been tops on my list for my next car, but for some reason I started wondering how a TT would be with upgraded suspension.

TYE - TYE from Bimmerforums? The car is very tight and nimble now. I really can't give a worthwhile opinion though until the next track even of Dec 1. The most radical cornering I do on a daily basis is a lane-change here in Houston

Tye,

Nice to see you on here too. I've got the Damptronics on the way. I'm having them installed along with GT3 sway bars after next week. I'll let you know what my impressions are afterwards.

Hahaha, I wondered if you would remember me from your old days there and our conversations. I look forward to hearing your feedback, as well as yours Jason. I was pretty dead set on getting a GT3, but the idea came into my head how close could I get a tt in terms of handling, cause obviously in the straights it will be much faster. But the rawness of the gt3 is so attractive, esp with headers and exahust. This is going to be a tough decision.

BTW, what wheels are those, they look great!

Tye,

the wheels are GP7's from PES. They are made by the same Japanese plant that makes the Champion wheels. Jesse at Champion works with PES to structurally design the wheels. They are very light and exceptionally strong.

I had a 997GT3, and sold it b/c the TT after a smidge of tuning made it feel like a Prius in terms of power. As great as the Gt3 is, a tuned TT is so much more powerful as to be in another league. Also, the TT's have near unlimited potential, whereas the Gt3 is really locked in its final state of evolution.

Nice car and nice picture! Love the graphite (?) wheels. The front lip is very nice too. Is it home made or something you recently bought?

Those are the Techart front lips. He also got the rear lips too. A heckuva deal on ebay. What's the story behind those green cones though?

The cones were setup by the PCA. The shot was taken during a concours event

Gene the car looks perfect. Who is selling the GP7's in graphite? I might sell my OEM stockers and get these instead.

What is your opinion on the GT3 vent? I am 50/50 on this still.
