Steering wheel options for TIP

If I buy an alcantara sport steering wheel for a 6 speed car can I install the TIP switches from the original wheel?

Both wheels are the sport style with the round air bag..

TXTurbo, You may want to check our website www.fvd.us, we have many sport steering wheels that can accomodate your 997TT. Once your on the site choose your model and go to interior then sport steering wheels. Just so you know Multifunction wheels are just about to be released as well.
Thanks, Rhonda

The FVD/atawi wheel is very cool for the tip. Instead tiptronic, you'll get paddle shifters.

Is there a way to get one like this for a TIP?

I believe that is possible, you can customize those wheels in any way you want inc. the one pictured through FVD. For the Tip, it will have peddle shifters on the back.

TXTurbo, I will have an answer for you with pricing in the morning on Monday. I don't think it will be a problem though. Great Choice, that wheel is spectacular in person. I assume then that it is for the 997 TT, correct?

Thanks for you inquiry,
Rhonda

haudimal is infamous around these parts
my question would be if it is possible to install the tiptronic switches to an OEM wheel, e.g. from the GT3 or GT2:

I like the OEM wheels much more and they are not that expensive as an OEM part ~ 450 euro and you can keep you OEM airbag with fitting leather.

So, does anybody know if it´s possible? Carnewal didn´t know and told me that i should try it

TXTurbo,

FVD Germany gave me this answer directly -

"at the moment we have no price and delivery time.
Our supplier will check and let us know, as soon I got any information I will send you an offer."

So it looks like we will have to wait a bit. As soon as I have the info I will let you know.

Thanks,
Rhonda
