New TT yesterday!!
New TT yesterday!!
I picked up my TT yesterday in Bellingham Washington, and drove directly to Bellevue to meet Jason and Larry. After we talked cars we drove to Kirkland for a nice meal, and I stayed in Bellevue for the night. I left for SoCal early this morning with a spotless white TT, and 700 miles later (rain, snow, ice, mud, etc) I've made it as far as Redding CA. About 600 miles more to go tomorrow to get home to Yorba Linda. The car looks like hell, but I'm sure it will clean up nice when I get home. Surprisingly, the oil level has remained constant throughout the first 700 miles - still registers full (not overfilled though)

Hi Dick,
Glad you made it through some pretty serious stuff on the way down without incident! We were both a little bit concerned that you'd run into trouble along the way! You've passed the worst of it so it should be easy sailing from here on out for you.
It was very nice having met a fellow 6speeder yet again! I'm always happy to help a fellow Porschephile out whenever the occasion calls for it. Thank you again for the nice dinner and I was happy to have you in my neck of the woods!
Here are some pictures that I took (sorry they're not up to my usual standards).
Dick checking his air pressure

Even at night under garage lighting, this car was truly stunning

Add P40 wheels, yummy!

Love that white out "turbo" badge

Dick leaving my place in the morning

Last thing I saw before he went around the corner

The funny thing is that Dick's Turbo will be the 4th Turbo to have parked in that very spot. The first was Mogen's (WetTT), the second, Larry (HUMMM 3), the third, (RAM86) and now the fourth, Dick.

Sorry I beat you, Dick, in posting pictures! At least it was still clean in these pictures! I was surprised how clean your car was after your drive to my house from Bellingham.

Wow thats quite a trek!! I am across the way in Anaheim Hills and just picked up a 997TT also!!! Very cool, although I only drove about 25 miles one way to get mine
I just picked up a Guards Red GT3 that will be rolling through Anaheim Hills too. The TT looks amazing!

I got the car yesterday and today its at GMG.
Sorry about the threadjack- its cool to have two new Pcar neighbors so quickly.
Congrats Dick, the car looks awesome! Jason was also a HUGE help to me in coordinating my delivery. Jason, I will e-mail you on Friday to coordinate that steak dinner! The weather might break for a drive on Sunday?!! All the best - Brad

Congratulations ! Very Very Nice ! Is there a reason why you decided to buy the 997TT here in Washington instead of California, I thought there is way more selection and allocation for the turbos, plus price in California should be better, right ? Because I am thinking to buy my next Mercedes (possibly a S63 AMG ) in California !
