Something confusing...
I told my dealer I'm going to order a new Tubi exhaust system & headers set for my upcoming turbo. And I just wanted to make sure if that won't void the warranty. He checked it with the service, and told me that they had the same situation before, some guy put some exhaust system (he told me the brand, but i forgot something like superspring) on his carrera and in 4k miles the engine kinda blow up, they needed to order a whole new engine. And because of that they can not cover the warranty if something like that happens to my engine.
I was thinking maybe a bad brand of exhaust system (I've been doing research for 2-3 months, never heard the brand they mentioned, can not even remember its name now) might have caused that.. because here and on another forums i saw many tubi users that never had any problem. I was about to order the system, but i'm kind of confused now, what should I do? help!

You should find another dealer that is willing to let you keep your warranty with the new exhaust. Even if you stick with that dealership, and your engine were to blow up, they would have to be able to directly relate the exhaust to the cause of the failure in order for them not to honor the warranty. There have been some 997's whose engines have blown due to a weak intermediate shaft. If that was the case with the carrera at your dealership, there's no reason for them not to honor the warranty, as a change in exhaust has no bearing on an intermediate shaft failing.
Find a new dealer or take in a copy of the Sema Manguson Moss laws. They have to PROVE your modifications caused the damage.

My dealer will allow mods ie ecu upgrade, exhaust, airbox and guarentee the full factory warranty will remain. I was really surprised. BUT I get the feeling that I must stick to what they know and recommend--like giac ecu, tubi exhaust etc

Dealers will you tell you anything about mods and warranty - whether or not what they say is true you won't know until or if you have to make a warranty claim. If the engine blows, they could deny warranty claim saying that the exhaust caused the problem...but they would have to show that the exhaust caused the problem. If the radio stops working, it would be hard for them to blame that on the exhaust system. Your warranty is with Porsche (PCNA) not your dealer so ultimately any big warranty claims will have to get their approval. BTW, noah677, how is your dealer "guaranteeing" your full factory warranty with the mods?? Did they give you something in writing or re-write the Porsche warranty book. Call me skeptical whenever it comes to dealer statements - remember they are trying to move the hardware.

I agree with GotBoost, Supersprint makes a nice exhaust for BMW as well as for some imports like the S2000 and I have only heard very positive things about them. Maybe the guy that blew his engine was just beating on the car and they traced blame to the exhaust instead of his driving habits?
yeah this is the one.
Justa few points on warranty :
1) Magnuson Moss --What the MM says and what actually happens can vary greatly . A blown engine even bone stock can be a repair obstacle and with mods the nighmare increases exponentially with the amount of mods , the types of mods, as well as how well both the dealership and Porsche can work together to determine their role in resolving it.
2) The owner - Most of us love our cars. A huge repair followed by a denial of claim can certainly test how well each party can work together when a problem arises. My advice in this adverse situation would be to choose logic over emotional reasoning .
I do feel that you would be fine with Tubi but I also feel that the dealership taht you went to already gave you a heads up that you are on your own with any snags. I feel that they may be taking a past problem (of another customer) into your request BUT either find a dealership who can accomodate you or leave the car stock .
