Bilstein's are more suited to street than track driving and if he just wanted better control, Bilstein are the way to go. For his purposes, the KW Clubsport would be perfect!
What are the differences between the V3 and the Clubsport?

How is either for street driving with really rough roads?

raiyu, the Clubsport is a recent addition so not alot of info available on it. It's ranks between the V3, which is street and some track, and the competition line. It'll probably be alot stiffer than the V3 so might not suit the streets of NY. If you'll only track it occasionally, there's always the Bilstein PSS10 which are perfect and can be as comfortable as stock with more control.

Some people mentioned that the PSS10 spring rates are bit soft for track purposes, would I gain much over the stock setup using them?

Is it because of the adjustments that I can make to the wheel alignment adding more negative camber, or will it still be stiffer over stock?

Hi Raiyu, my friend has PSS10's on his Turbo. It is much better than stock, but not compromising Your ride too much, so it is perfect for daily use + also track. I wanted little bit more harder ride, and I really look forward to share my experience here.

Adjustment is that in PSS10's You have two way adjustable system, meaning You can adjust compression and outbound differently, but apparently in Bilstein it is not really separately adjustable.

Wheel camber is different, usually You need to change it only if You are serious with tracking Your car. Then is not the coilover that are making it possible, it is adjustable camber plates or the better solution, GT3 under arms which adjust the camber in right place ( that is the bottom of the wheel) with shimplates.

raiyu, Bradpete is correct!

How about a visit to AWE or Farnbacher-Lolas, both are not that far off. You could see what they have to offer and maybe try a PSS10 equipped turbo to see if you like it. Don't jump into this untill you're pretty sure of what you want. It's a slippery slope.

Been where you are when you feel that your turbo is not quite cutting it on the track. I know it's not an easy decision, mine was actually simple, sell turbo, buy GT3.

All the best.

raiyu, i don't know if you've seen my pics. mine has pss10 and adjustable lower control arm, plus other mods, all done by farnbacher. i posted on this forum last week. u might like the results. unfort i've never driven a car with kw or moton so i can't compare directly. overall ride on pss10 is not much harsher than stock in sport.

Status upgrade:

I sent my Turbo's & ECU 6th of may from Finland, they arrived to Tempe, AZ thursday 8th! It took two days + 570 euros with FedEx... that is around USD 900. I made full payment to Evoms may 7th.

Evoms was very helpful with EVT700/730R order processing, I only had to specify the color of hoses ( black), exhaust ( MaxFlow 70mm with 200 cell cats) & tail pipes ( Polishes Stainless steel). They shipped all my order except Turbo's & ECU yesterday, and I will receive this shipment tomorrow, based on FedEx tracking!

Turbo's are processed in US, it takes some 10 working days with Evoms, I should receive them with ECU in 26th of may!!

So far so good with Evoms- Mike & Nate has been very helpful & order process has been great!! Thanks to Evoms!!

Looking to my earlier schedule, I am still on track! I really do hope all upgrades are done by this month, so I will be able to meet Swedish RingRunners on 1st of June!

Also, I have received KW Clubsport's + new Porsche Motorsport brake pads. Still missing GT3 underarms + swaybars. Hope to receive them soon!

So, after the Turbo's will get back we will put the car together, optimized to RON 98/ 103. If nothing bad happens, this work should be started last week of may!!

At this point, I must admit transferring that quite big sum of money to US with Turbos & ECU and making my TT a wreck, it was really worrying. But now it really looks like everybody is doing a great work for this project and I will get my TT back together

Of course, there might be some troubles ahead. I am so happy I have now 997 GT3 Cup car to make me feel better, I have done some 60 laps with it during last week!! And first race coming this weekend!! What a beast... My stock Turbo in track 1:28:80, GT3 Cup 1:21:60

Also I saw first time my new Dymag wheels with new set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups!

They are so perfect, I want them under my car so bad!

I have:

front 19" x 9" ET41 911 Turbo (997) front CarbonMg wheel (Met. Grey)
rear 19" x 12" ET45 911Turbo (997) CarbonMg wheel (Met. Grey)

The order process with Dymag wasn't so easy, I ordered my wheels with Porsche center caps, without Dymag logo, and ET to rear 45. I received the wheels with Dymag caps, with Dymag logos under lacquer and rear ET 48

However, Andy in Dymag was very helpul and promised to take care of these problems after this season, so we will have to wait & see.

Yes, I ordered rear wheels 12" in purpose, I read from Michelin presentation that Sport Cups like & work better with wider rim support in Porsche!!

Ok, the car is ready, week after original dead line!! NOT BAD AT ALL!

First set back was when I opened the shipment from EVOMS: they only send me Fabspeed exhaust & IPD plenum... I was so dissapointed, but finally everything worked well and the rest of the staff came 27th of may!!

My friends from Finland ( member ESu) visited EVOMS at Arizona, and actually they carried over the tuned turbo's with bypass valves & ECU in their suitcase!

So firstly the new KW Clubsport coilover were installed. After this was time fro new EVT700/750R: because my car is Tip, the worked was bigger that expected. To be able to put new torque converter, the engine and the gearbox had to be dropped, and that meant extra two days for the guys!!

So yesterday my car was finally ready, and today was the first time I drove it. It is insane!!! As we here in Finland use as a regular fuel very good 98 + octane, we think there are much over 700 hp with basic setting. I might put some race fuel tomorrow, when I have first track day with it to see its real nature ( if I am not too scared)...

The car sound so GOOD and accelerates so fast, it exceeds all my expectations!! At this point I am happy to have Tip, because the rev's go up so fast it is really hard to follow with changes ( this must be really difficult to manual guys also)!!

There are no extra noises or vibrations even with upgraded tip, only noise what can be heard extra is the whistle from tuned turbo's!!

Only test I was able to make today was from 80 km/h to 120 km/ h with my Racebox:

Stock 2,2 sec
EVT 1,7 sec

And You really can feel it!! I have not taken yet the PSM off, it feels so powerful that I am at this point afraid of doing it... step by step!!

Also, the KW Clubsport is amazing: it feels so firm but the car is still like "stock", it is not too hard, only in high speed You can feel really hard all cuts in the road.

But with the alignment from GT3RS car turns in beautifully and the response from steering wheel is just what I wanted: always the stock steering felt little bit too powered, but now it is so good and You can feel much better what You are doing!! Only waiting to see the difference in track!

I will have next week H & R adjustable sway bars installed + 997 GT2 front arms with shim plates. It is nice that I can try the car tomorrow in track before the next changes, maybe this way I can little bit better feel all the changes ... now there is so many changes it is really hard to say which one is affecting the most!!

Car looks absolutely stunning with Dymag's + Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. I only hope I will survive tomorrow in track without hitting the fences... it is double day, with Cup- car & TT, nice to see the speed difference. I expect it to be around 4 secs, Cup 1:24 and TT 1:28......

Overall, I have seen lot of different cars: but with this one I feel like a little kid ( which I am in my heart). At this point, I would not do anything differently with this car!!
