Squeaky PCCB?

750 miles on my 997TT Cab with Ceramic breaks.
Not a big deal, seemed like a dusty hot day yesterday.
on 2 occasions, I heard a squeak in the brakes coming to a slow stop.

Is this part of of the break in with these breaks? My 997s with standard breaks never had this problem.

Break dust?

Anyone else have this experience?

I sure hope it stops. I already feel a squeamish deciding on the 8500 additional cost for these babies!

thanks!

With well-bedded new pads and street driving, they are quiet. After a track day, they often squeak under light braking. Doesn't bother me too much.

You might try a bedding procedure since your car/brakes are so new.

My TT has over 12K miles on her and the PCCB's squeek every other day - particularly after brisk driving. I do not know why they squeek, but the brakes never fade (although I've never tracked her).

I occasionally get light squeaking under light breaking.

One of my bass speakers blew so i have to bring the car in for the warranty work. I will ask the tech's about the squeaky PCCB's and see what they say.

I always get squeaking sound on my 2008 997tt pccb after hard driving. I did check with Porsche Germany, they told me it is normal to have squeaking sound with pccb, because the squeaking sound is cause by the pccb pad dust.
I use the break pad cleaner to spary pccb pad and flush with "lots lots" of water, this will fix the squeaking sound problem until the Next Hard Driving.....

Twice now I have had a scratching noise (sounded like metal on metal) and when I stopped to check (immediately) I found a small pebble between the dust shield and the rotor. Pulled it free an noise disappeared. Never had the squeeking though.

I didnt have any squeeks for a long time. I had read others had squeeking problems on the board tho. My pccbs do squeek now from time to time. Always slow stops. The porsche dealer will tell you it's normal... =\

Im not sure if its my imagination, but it seems that if I brake hard, the squeeking will stop for a bit.
