Found a 2005 for $140k
a 2006 for $150k
Are these more realible then than the 2004?
How much discount can I get?
Is maintenance still 10k per year?

There is no discount on the R8. maybe 500$ at mostOriginally Posted by Alan
But, please let me know where you are getting a discounted R8 from - I've heard the only dealerships doing that are on Mars and the shipping charge is really high.

TT feels and IS much more grippier than S, more direct, way less understeer than the S.
the power diff. alone is worth half the price u paid for it
I drove the TT for 30 mins. the S for 15 mins.Originally Posted by Dubai_TT

Both cars are fast,I could feel the turbo kicking in for the TT. However, Both cars feel unstable turning at 70mph as if the car could have spinned out of control.
Im leaning towards getting a non S cab for 70k and save the money to get a gallardo in a year. How does this sound?
How much discount can I get on a preowned/new , NON S cab, S cab, TT coupe and TT cab?

Found 2 Gallardo for less than 130k. I have 10k to reserve for repair and maintenance for 2 years. Is this enough?
I agree with the R8. cant afford it right now.
TT: I just cant justice paying 40000$ more than the S. and almost double of the non S. Its fast but it drives the same. Correct me if Im wrong.
congratulations..you found 2 four year old exotics with miles. if you are seriously considering these cars by looking for one thats <140k and using the difference as a service reserve, you can't afford it, sorry. Originally Posted by Pcar

and if you can't justify paying that much for a turbo, grab a 997s for 80k and be done with it

If you are not going to help, please do not reply. Most of your comments are very negative. You dont even own a TT, why are you even replying to my thread?Originally Posted by invids

Having a budget of 140k is reasonable. Im sure when you purchased your 911, you did not want to spend over a certain amount of money.
140k is enough to get me a 360 , TT or TT cab, and maybe even a Gallardo. I want my car to be driven, not a garage queen.

Mileage: 9,074 Used 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo shown above looks like best deal within 100 miles from me.
I did some research on the lambo forum and it sounds like the Gallardo is a pretty reliable car even the 2004s. If Im getting the Gallardo, Im looking forward to keep it for 5 years, with 8000-10,000 miles per year.
If I get the TT/cab, I will still be wondering "what if" I got the Gallardo?
My next question to you guys is how much can I knock off from $146,000? $5k? 8k? reasonable?

Sounds like you already made up your mind - not sure why you're thinking about the TT. You already said you were disappointed with your test drive and then you said if you get it, will you be playing "what if".

Pass on the 04 Gallardo..... in addition to the clutch problem, there was no variable height adjustment....
Personally I think the 360 sucked in terms of HP/TQ, the 430 is much improved (and out of your budget)
Seems like you disliked most Porsches, and the Gallardo is a very beautiful car that you seem to like so I would buy a --2005 or 2006-- and enjoy it!
.....just make sure you are comfortable sitting in it, and w the windshield position...... I find them to be claustrophobic and uncomfortable.........
Good luck!
