Purchasing advise: TT/Gallardo/R8/360
So, who can really tell you how to live? I would avoid advice and go with your gut instincts on this.
If a Gallardo is the life dream, go for it!
I've owned 2 997 TTs, and I much prefer the GT3RS that I have now - but I have always liked the raw and mechnical cars.

Totally can understand you there. To each their own. With Cats being local to me, and after having talked to Kevin on the phone, I feel good about the way things are going. I also talked to the service manager of St Louis Lambo to hear from the source what the PPI findings were. I would recommend a PPI on any car done and that should show any issues. With Cats, I suspect its a case of the happy customers not saying too much and what you see is the unhappy ones complaining. I could be wrong, and my deal hasn't completed yet, but it seems good so far.
For this, it's OK for people to compare a new car to an old car to whatever they want. If you don't feel like helping out with information or advice then no need to tell the person their post can't be real. It may not be, but give em the benefit of the doubt.
There is a place in Anaheim called DC Motors that has all kinds of used Ferraris and Lambos.

A friend of mine bought a Maseratti there and was happy. Most of the cars are on consignment so there are some deals to be made - especially in this economy.
I know this is out of your area, but it is a good reference on price.

Im trying to make an appoint to test drive a Gallardo and a TT at the same time this weekend. Im curious to find out which one is more supreme.
Why is it that anyone looking at purchasing diff types of cars normally ends up with the thread being called 'not real'? Same thing happened in my thread where i was considering a Cayman S, Turbo Cab, or a Gallardo. I ended up picking the Gallardo most b/c the Turbo Cab was just too similar to all the other 911s out there and I wanted something a bit different.

What is your honest opinion on the Gallardo. How does it compare with the TT assuming you drove both.
Im so excited because I just made an appt to drive a Gallardo with E-gear.
The resale value of Gallardo is really low especially when the car was 180k New and its now selling for 130k with 5000 miles for 2004-2005. I wonder how much gallardo can be sold for if it will have 20,000 miles on it. $90,000? not that low right?
Regarding your feeling that there's not much difference between the 997S and 997TT, my impressions were completely different. I had a Boxster S and test drove a 997S. I was not impressed. It has a more power but not breathtakingly more so, and handled worse. Mostly it felt heavier and far less nimble. I stuck with my Boxster. I wouldn't trade the Boxster S for a 997S. Then a year later I drove a 997TT. Whoa!! Stomp on the gas and hold on!! It was a completely different experience and totally addicting. While I still love the nimble feeling of a Boxster, the rush of a TT is intoxicating.
Comparing a TT to a Gallardo, I haven't driven a Gallardo so can't say. But comparing a 997TT to a 997S, no comparison.

I haven't received my 'new' 05 Gallardo yet. I drove two before and just loved the sound, feel, and looks. I haven't driven a TT. I'm sure it feels great but it just didn't do it for me. I am on the list for an R8 but have at least a 10 month wait. I may consider the V10 version of it but doubt I'll go for the V8. And maybe not even for the V10 R8 later.
