I'm sure this questions been asked a million times on this board, however I cannot seem to find the thread links...

I wanted to know what the differences were from the 07's to the 08's... and what would the differences be on the 09's.... Reason being, I am about to buy an '07 TT from my dealer and I wanted to know if I'd be missing out on anything on the 08's or 09's... Its also been rumored that the 09's would have a face/rear lift.... Is this true? How will this affect an 07's price?

Also, the color he has available is the GT Silver.... I originally wanted a white one... but the GT silver looks AMAZING... Any thoughts? Should I wait for a white or just stick with the GT Silver?

 

No major changes, just options. i.e. late 08's had aero kit option and the seats from the gt2, 09's have an improved nav / pcm.

Nothing solid on if 09's will have updated rear clip and headlamps.

If you drive daily the updated PCM with USB is a nice feature for ipod etc. Some may argue that there are a few aftermarket options but for everyone one happy customer I see two complaining about them!

You cant go wrong with GT Silver.

 

If you really want a white one, why don't you look for one. I'm sure there is some white 07 around. When I was looking for a TT, I didn't limit my seach to local. I did a national seach..

 

I would go with either GT Silver or Cobalt blue - but I had both. White is just not my favorite color. Someone can correct me on this, but I am not sure the 09 will have the facelift - I believe it will be later MY cars.

Late 07/08 cars have a slightly louder exhaust, only slightly. Also the 08's got the extended module for the NAV. The 09's get a FL, PDK and a line engine.

 

08'S have a on/off button for the A/C compresor....

I finally got the correct ebrake handle ( daw ) and dome light cover in leather with stitch over the weekend...

The factory put in a EAA handle and thought they could sneek it by me....

 

A local place here in denver (stevinson imports) has an 08 white TT w/ the aero kit. It looked really good and if i didn't have one i'd have considered it.

I believe GT Silver was an extra cost option color for '07. The few face lift photos I've seen don't make the car any more attractive IMHO, and I think they'll only be offered on the Carrera for '09.

For me the discriminators would be condition, mileage and available service records. Then color and options.

 

07 also has on/off button for A/C - it's just labeled "ECO".

 

Same dealer also I think still has a white one with a few aftermarket goodies on it. Sounds nice and looks good with the deeper dish wheels on it as well.
