no it was my opinion, i was hoping somebody else would chime in. doing a proper ecu tunning and reducing EGT , by adding hi flow exhaust and headers should bo ok as far as one doesnt like an Idiot by redlinig every time and traking all the time?

i believe nothing is free in life you have to pay some how!

All I can say, is after doing a lot of research as you have done, I went with the ecu and muffler change( giac and tubi) as RECOMMENDED by my dealer. They felt very comfortable doing this to my 08 TT as well as others while still maintaining my warranty. I take this as the best statement about longevity and reliability that you can get. They do know I don't track the car and that I drive it sanely ie not redlining all the time etc.----don't know if this makes any difference to them.

What would blow my mind ( and I assume this is the reason for this thread) is that if I went for say the AWE 700 kit, drove sanely, and had problems anyway----be it within 1 mile or 10000 miles. I am right on the edge of pulling the trigger for such a kit. I know people like yarrlis1 have had great experiences

Agreed, but track time is important factor for me

Yes, I agree. Good info re dealer recommendation (we should all be so lucky to have a dealer like yours). Even my new information came with an "ok" with the power kit upgrade- but the reservations came with my track use (about 15 or days a year - DE and lapping days not "racing").

Anyone out there with a 997TT with an upgraded power kit with some (considerable) track time?

700HP Over kill ?

If it's not a track car, I can't imagine 997TT with that type of power. It's already so redicously quick.

It's about having unbelievable power on tap at all times.

I don't track my cars but love the thought of 0 to 60 in the 2 seconds... Destroying any car that would ever want to race you in town or up to the 120 mphs.

How many people with Supercars track them? Most don't.

Oh and let's not forget it is the best value I have ever heard of... $14k more or less, for an extra 220 horses

Two words: Call me...

Seriously though, as GT RUS has said, his SPI750 Tiptronic and his partner Dimitry's SPI750 Tiptronic are multi-event winners. Race proven performance. The newer P800 Alpha package for the 997TT just won the Moscow unlim, and is knocking on the 9's..

If you have any questions, let me know. We have made 1000-1100bhp on the STOCK 997TT ENGINE, with our bolt-ons. 4.25 second 60-130 and 3.7 100-200kmh.
