Tailpipe

I want to change the OE tailpipes for quad look. I've seen the prices for the 997TT and +$500 only for a pair of tailpipes is a steal, when a pair of random twin tips doesn't cost more than $200.

I think that the size of the sport tips for the 997S is 80mm (each tip), which from what i seen of the exhaust systems for the 997TT is the perfect size for a quad look. Does anyone tried the sport tips of the 997S in the 997TT?

Why? Because is too big or due to the connection pipe with the muffler? If it is due to the connection pipe, then it is only a $50 exhaust labour to make them fit.

The turbo tip connector is on the inside of the tip looking at the rear of the car. The tips above the connector is slap bang in the middle.

You could buy them anyway and make a custom welding job to exhaust to fit.I bought some universal quad pipe and welded on.

Custom job looks better than bolt on one as aftermarket exhaust not always sit properlys so the left/right tips won't even on the same position after bolt on.

Those tips wont fit because the exhaust outlets come out to the sides, not out the holes in the bumper. So the tips are actually L-shaped.

Go with the Fabspeed tips, I have a Fabspeed exhaust and the tips are perfect. They completely fill out the bumper, look very aggressive, and I wouldn't trade them for anything else.

I just got mine powdercoated black to match my wing and black turbo emblem and loving it. Also fit and finish is OEM and Fabspeed has the best customer support you will ever find, even if you get one of their products used from another member you can always call them with any questions or get any help you need, they treat the customer right.

I looked at (almost?) every tip out there and also picked Fabspeed. Its stainless steel finish is much nice than the bright chrome of stock. The flare looks seriously yummy and "machine muscular." LOL. And I agree; Fabspeed customer service is second to none.
