How do you purchase?

Just wondering...When you purchase/lease a porsche, how do you do it?
Do you finance (and how much), do you buy outright? or do you lease?

any way you can get a p-car is worth it. I paid cash for 997S, but I leased my 997TT. I'm saving for a GT2 now - but will probably lease it as well.

Depends on the deals to be had - I don't think you will find any killer deals on leasing right now. I personally go with whatever is the cheapest money - sometimes that can be a lease, financing, or cash.

I completely agree. It depends on the deal and your situation.

Those with lots of money pay cash.
Those puting it through the business lease.
Then were is everyone in between doing whats best for them, cash, lease or finance.

I paid cash, Forbes says if it depreciates, lease it.

THat is the question...how do YOU personally as an individual purchase your car?
My answer is that I put about 15% down and finance the rest.
I would like to say I pay cash, but I dont.

To put it as bluntly as others have in the past...cash is king.

I have never leased a Porsche and after leasing two other cars I refuse to ever lease again. Both times it cost more than an outright buy.

A cash buy =140K
A lease car = 36 payments (approx 2500 X 36 = 90K and then no equitity --yikes !!!)

The idea of paying 2500 to rent a car and face turning it in would not sit well with me. Maybe I just love the car that much. I also want complete freedom to have my car the way I want it without all the lease restrictions of the contract.

I won't finance it either . No way. This car depreciates so fast that financing adds a cost burden.

It's an expensive toy but that's what it costs . It clearly is not a logical purchase if one considered more economical vehicles .

I can be content with less money but I could not have imagine having lived without ever owning a Porsche. For me .. ownership creates a lifetime memory.

I always purchase. Financing rate dictates amount of cash down. Higher rate, more cash and vice versa.

Read this thread, seems like the most painless process for financing.

IMO I dont like leasing at all...i guess Im wondering if you all buy your cars outright with cash or finance. And if you finance..how much do you put down on the car? Just wondering. I guess I am always putting my discretionary money into vehicles...I could certainly save more for investment and drive a honda, but its not me. So in doing these high dollar vehicle "investments" I am curious of how others do it?

Cash........back, in this case. I traded 2 cars for the turbo and they cut me a check.
