Intercooler Silicone Hoses
Intercooler Silicone Hoses
I read some threads about it and there are several opinions. Some say that OEM is good enough, others say is a must have. How flexible are the stock ones?
Well i found a company that their products are compared to Samco quality (hold 2.5bar without inflation and can handle between -65ºC and +250ºC), and with the lowest prices i've seen. Does anyone hear about Venair??? They also have custom colours option.

Tiago,
After doing a small research on silicone hoses i came across with Venair.
Hoses specs:
5,5mm with 4 polyester reinforcements and 5 silicone layers.
explosion minimum pressure 14bar
standard color blue,
euro372,80 shipped
ordered.
Most brands for example samco do silicone hoses that fit aftermarket I/Cs, Venair silicone hoses fit the original I/Cs, my 4,5 inch Protomotive I/Cs use the same as stock clipping mechanism.

I'm on a 700 project from Protomotive
modified VTGs
New BRVs
Techart suspension with nose lift
ECU & TCU upgrade
4,5'' I/Cs (with new silicone hoses)
exterior better looking upgrade
Even if Todd (Protomotive) thinks that i don't need them i will put them on, just to have done every single thing

I think those are the ones made overseas in Cha China. Or maybe I am wrong and made in FL. The hoses are like brake lines. The rubber hoses can expand outwards under pressure. Silicone can only go its inner diameter. So it will hold boost pressure more consistant.

Milou, did you already receive it? Last time i checked their website, they had the blue ones ready to ship and only the other colors would need 4 weeks.
Please report it where (or PM me), specially if you notice something about consistent and quick overboost numbers. Can you also give the feedback about the stiffness (compared to stock) when you press with your hand. I'm almost pulling the trigger for the red ones...

Tiago,
i have ordered them last week and they're on the way, i have a tracking number,(free shipping over euro100) last time i checked they were in Germany.
I will let you know about them as soon as i get them. The guy who replied to my e-mail said that it was the last set in stock and it is blue.
I'm on a 700project right now so I'll be posting everything about it when I'm done
