The stock air box is not screwed or bolted in. Just grab it and pull up...you will then have access to the filter element.

Pull up on the airbox directly. Dont be afraid, it 'snaps' in place.

Filter is bolted in, when the airbox top is off you will see the bolts. Simply remove and then install new filter.

What are you pre- and post-thoughts on the filter?

I just finished installing it bud, I am getting ready to go out and drive the car a bit. Remember, I got bigger VTG's, ECU, Exhaust... so the filter is going to be one more thing to feel out. I will let you know.

Honestly, I do feel a difference. now with more air in, the rpm's are climbing faster and easier, the car just is breathing better period. more power needs cooler, more air I wish i have a way to do a dyno comparison, maybe the next time I hit Gilbert AZ I will
But again, the car has a ton of power, you feel them a lot after 5400rpm too. I have to run it a bit more and will see.

My BMC already 10000 kms and 2 years since I install it.
Should I clean and re oil it? I heard K n N filter can go up to 50000 kms without cleaning, also the stock paper filter can go 30000kms.
Is the BMC oil filter element getting dry after 2 years?

Whatever you do, just don't over oil it!
Two years, two months... it doesn't really matter, what matters is the conditions you drive in and how quickly the filter gets dirty. go on the site and check it out.

No it won't
Very few waters will get into the airbox and the filter is standing back not flat on,so there is really no chance to suck water into the filter.Even it suck a bit,it is a long way from the intake tube to the turbo inlet.Heat will dry it through the way.Nothing to worry about really.

rather than re-oil this thing and over oil it I'd just buy a new one each year..might work out cheaper than a new MAF is you ruin it. food for thought.
