Engine Fan Failure !!!

Hey guys I would like to know if this is something normal or its just my luck,
A couple of days ago i replaced the OEM air intake for the Fabspeed one. And a day after that the fan for the engine compartment which is on the lid failed.
Would appreciate any advice if its because of the Intake or not
Thanks,
Samir

Did you do the installation yourself? Is it possible that you may have damaged something in the process?
I always go to the dealer when I run into issues with my car.

Seems to be your luck....Unless the FabSpeed intake retricts airflow to the fan, etc.. but I doubt that.

Whats a new one run? $150+/-

1. How do you know that your engine fan failed? It is not always on, and does not give a CE light when it's down.

2. Is your engine bay light on? The fan and light share the same fuse.

3. Is the fan wiring harness plugged in? It uses a locking interface that can come disconnected.

The wiring harness for the engine deck lid fan goes nowhere near the intake system. I doubt they are related. I'd check for the things I mentioned above.

+1. have on my car as well and no issues, a quality piece. As has been suggested, I would check the items mentioned.

I think this should cover it. If the fan has failed it's only 3 bolts and a connector to change it. Very easy.
