Ordered SOFTRONIC ECU :)
Ordered SOFTRONIC ECU :)
After 2 years of ownership I finally ordered the SOFTRONIC ECU tune for my 2008 997 TT 6speed. I am looking forward to the extra grunt
. I will post my thoughts after I upload the software later this week.

Kicked around the idea of getting a different sports car
( I usually get a new "toy" buy/sell every year or so give or take..) But I could not imagine life without my TT. The ECU tune should put me around 600HP with the headers, filter, and TUBI exhaust so that will hopefully cure my itch

I too am in the market for an ECU upgrade, any specific reason you went with Softronic?

I chose Softronic because I really like the fact that I do not have to send out the ECU to get the Softronic tune. I will be able to do the flash in my garage through the OBD II port by the provided cable and the total time to do the upgrade is only about 1 hour. Secondly, I have pm'd other 6speeders that have used the tune and each and every one was absolutely thrilled with the performance gains... They said the results were better than expected.
There are many many tuners and ECU options out there for the 997 TT and without going into details on who claims what it was the best choice for me. The price right now is very attractive for the Softronic from Vivid Racing, and its easy to do with honest real 6speed members that have voiced there opinions without one single complaint. One 6speeder even said they went with a different tune early on and then changed to Softronic and never looked back, I hope the hype is real, I can't wait
I will let you guys know....

When I went by a few months ago, Ian at EVOMS said the stocker can handle upwards of 600-650. North of that will require an aftermarket upgrade.
I am told that the stock clutch should hold up fairly well as long as the car is not launched and driven hard all the time. I do not track the car and I do not launch the car often so I hope it will be ok. If it starts to go I will probably opt for the Sachs stage II system. I guess if the tune really works well it should fry sooner than later
You won't be dissapointed. Mine is the one which did the 11.16 qtr mile. I have fabspeed headers and exhaust and the softronic tune and couldn't be more pleased. The next mod will be suspension and tcu flash. Does it ever stop?
now am gone buy vr825 package
