Quote: Anyway, VW is at the steering of Porsche no? So they might be sharing Beetle parts again to cut cost? Hahaha....

Anyway im here just for laughs tho, not really want to prove anything, i like them both.

Well, VW was Porsche before Porsche was Porsche, nothing to be ashamed of. Both brilliant ideas of the "greatest automotive engineer of the 20th century."

Quote: Do you see it as a plus or a minus? Tell me you wouldnt want a car with tuning capability of 1000 hp+
1000 hp is nice, but a 1000 hp from 2.6-2.8 L is not desirable at all.

This x 1000 automobile mag this month summed up the GTR perfectly. "The GT-R's computers remove any need for driver talent and suck out the fun in the process." A Porsche is so much more rewarding. I don't like the GTR at all, inside or out. The performance numbers are impressive but the car is so detached from the experience.<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- / message -->

At 280bhp it already fails if driven to the limit for over 1hr or with 2 to 3 hard launches at 8,000RPM and when you start turning up the boost the motor is history, 1000bhp will force you to buy a new motor and a tranny and not a stock tranny but an OS Giken, HKS or TRUST anything OEM from datsun is pure **** if pushing @ 280hp or beyond.

Stock RB is pure garbage whether you want a reliable 500bhp or anything higher.

The ringer is indeed VERY impressive, but customer cars aren't anything special or fast as the ringer and all you hear from them is

1. Why has my tranny stopped shifting ? cause nissan never intended to do any R&D or spend an extra dime to offer you something reliable, what is reliable from datsun ?
2. How do you activate launch control ? I wanna see some low 3s in my 0 to 60 launch
3. Why is my 4wd system light coming up whenever I floor on a wet road ?
4. What mods do I need to beat a 911 turbo from a stoplight ? please tell me it won't cost anywhere near $5k cause I can't afford to pay $3k for a cat-back system, the ugly datsun sounds like a sanitation truck (I'm being honest here) I for once thought it already left and didn't pick my trash up and I started running outside the house shouting "hey cleaner boy come back here you forgot to take my 3,800lbs trash with ya"

The embarassment list is way too long, I think I need to be a loser with no job such as BD to type it all out.

The overweight amazon parcel box has issues, if you don't believe me spend $84,000 USD and find out for yourself.

-------------------

HOLY KWAP!!!!!

23 pages of sentra combined with an altima coupe which gives the ultimate datsun GTR talk!!!!!!!!!!!

NO WAY I'll be going through all these pages, because 90% of what I just read in the 1st 3 pages were coming from a monkey GTR worshipper that never had the chance to ever test drive one, all he does is watch a best motoring video or visits nagtroc and paypals a member to help him fabricate a new story about how awesome this latest megan gtr is (WHICH WE ALL KNOW THE JAY-D-M CAN'T LOSE NO MATTER WHAT) incase anyone is interested in following up with this monkey that calls himself BD, he now continues his trash talking on supraforums (which I was informed via text message while working on GTR #1,304 with an engine malfunction and 4WD failure in our kyoto service center) under the nickname mc_hammer that acts like some sort of a PRO driver with a lot of experience behind LeMans cars and JGTC

Good thing this monkey has already been deported back to the zoo, I believe that he hit his head on the toilet some time ago and started to compare the sentra with the veyron and for 1/2 the power it can keep up with the mighty veyron in the mid-range, but due to it's short gear ratio and a missing 7th gear the veyron will walk away easily

You boys been wastin your breath with a loser that doesn't have any clue about cheap material (datsun) that's known to break if pushed hard or to the limit where almost everything will start to malfunction and send a dozen text message to Nissan HQ in Japan and tells them to void this ***** warranty ASAP!!!!!

2010 Turbo vs GTR vs R8 Video
911 Turbo seriously closes the gap. Given it's so much more livable, 3/10's is an easy sacrafice for day to day comfort. Sorry if repost.

Hot Dog, Mizunos back!!! I wondered what happened to you. We really missed you!

Mizuno, we bought my daughter a Sentra and it ain't such a bad car. It did blow a head gasket after about 25,000 miles. Luckily, it was still under waranty. They did ask my daughter if she had tried to launch it, though. I had to remind them that my daughter's car was the real 4 cylinder Sentra, not Godzilla. They weren't about to get out of this one.

It also references the old 2006 997 Turbo's time as 1:13.7 on PS2s.

Oh yeah about endurance, see how the 997 fairs after about 9 minutes on track.

Heavychevy. There is no substitute.

I don't see a reason to write in red unless you're mentally handicapped and/or 5 years old. So GM went to all this trouble as an elaborate hoax because they didn't think they'd get away with changing the tyres on a Z06? Funny about homologation because the C6-R has been competing since 2005 and the chassis was built by Pratt & Miller. The new GT2 chassis, made from Al is also based on the Z06 and the GT3 chassis is also based on the Z06.

Probably 6 minutes dead in your world.

Why say 'even at the Nurburgring'? That's only one result. The average in fairness probably comes to 2.5s/min. Top Gear showed 2s difference but the ZR1 was on a track with some damp patches. Hockenheim and Anglessey show 2s but Laguna Seca shows 5s.

You aren't making that up with a non-slick tyre change.

To an extent, that's why we also take an average. But when one lap last 1min and the 'ring lasts 7-8min, it makes no sense to say X seconds per lap, as the duration of the lap could either make that time inconsequential or huge.

We're comparing tuner cars on street tyres not racecars you dummy. YOU LOSE and minus 10 points for being daft.

Looks like XS R32 would have beat your *** if the boost wasn't set to low. Only .191s off a race car on low boost in a modded 20 year-old skyline GTR. Unfortunately this proves the exact opposite of what you were trying to prove. What about a Fuji time? Happier on tracks where they've had every day of the year to practice on, in their race car. Oh yeah and that XS Engineering, well the reference to Eric Hsu and the lap record, that's his in an Evo. So FAIL and FAIL. Well done for beating

http://www.superstreetonline.com/features/130_0703_interview_xs_engineering_eric_hsu/index.html

So with $400k you beat a Street Class tuner R34 in a racecar on a track they weren't familiar with. Maybe with anoth $400k you could have clinched the lap record.

Cowering from a rematch:

And the Mines R34 always runs on street sport-compound tyres, specifically Bridgestone Potenza RE55S SR2:
http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/motorsport/RE55s.aspx
http://www.superstreetonline.com/fea...car_specs.html

Why didn't you mention that the GMG Cup Car is basically a GT3 series car? If you want to talk Open/Unlimited Class GTRs then try on the ATTKD R32 or a Nagisa Auto R34 for size. I thought you'd understand competition classes a little better and not go comparing chalk and ****. What a loon? In related news a Japanese Super-GT beat a TechArt GT Street.

Well perhaps you should inform us of your evidence because at the moment it's just rhetoric and if your claims are correct it looks like Porsche have fiddled you once again with fitting poor tyres as standard.

OMG, I can't believe this tool brought in Best Motoring to prove a point. We All know how BM is so accurate and unbiased when comparing cars.....

Hey, Did you guys know that a NSX-R is just as fast as a Lambo Murci and a F-50? Seriously, BM proved it on one of their videos!

I don't understand how these "GTR will spank anything" threads keep popping up and go on to 2x pages.

Sold my 996TT and my daily and purchased a E92 M3 - since I can't afford a 997TT right now. Maybe a GTR fanboi should tell me I got ripped off for buying my M3 when I could of purchased a GTR?

We must all accept that no matter what we drive, if it is not a GTR, we have been ripped off.
