how to lower a gt2

guys, probably a dumb question, but can the gt2 be lowered using stock adjustable parts? how much camber and toe can u dial in or out also using stock parts? can u adjust rebound and stiffness? do u need to swap out the sway bars for cup stuff or toe links? any pics of a lowered gt2? thanks in advance!

I recall that the coilover stock suspension will allow you to lower and adjust camber and toe. As far as stiffness. you are stuck with the little button on the center dash.

You can use Bilstein spanners (wrenches) to adjust the over all ride height of the vehicle. The dampers are electronically controlled, as stated above. You can adjust the settings on the sway bars in both the front and rear.

Are you going for looks or performance? The stock ride height is pretty darn good for the GT2, although it may sag a little and should be rechecked a few months after assembly.

Jamuz,
The 997 GT2 has one of the best street suspensions on any car available. The stock ride height is the best setting, but you can lower it with the coilovers, easy to do. The rest of the suspension parts will work fine with the lower ride height.
The only negative is that the front end will bottom out over rough roads at moderate to high speeds even with sport mode on. The springs are too soft. You don’t notice it as much at stock ride height.
If you are not going to track the car the stock suspension settings are perfect. It is the best back road driving car I have ever driven.

Best to leave the GT2 ride height stock otherwise it will drag over the smallest imperfections in the road. It will become undriveable on all but the smoothest roads.

I am sure it would be a problem if you go to low but you can lower it 8 to 10mm with no problems, if you go more say 15mm you will need to get the bumpsteer toe arms.
