Today I wanted to use my TT and no battery so no power.
Last week I installed a stupid battery terminal cutoff and then closed the front hood so today I tried to use the car and I remembered this,I tried to connect another bat to open the hood (fuse box port) and nothing.
Please tell me if someone knows if this cars have a manual cable to open the hood.
Someone said that it is necessary to remove the fuse box and there is a emergency cable to open the hood but I checked the manual and they don't mention anything like this.
Please HELP!

 

Yep it is in the drivers door, as I recall. There is a release that will allow the hood to pop for you.

Luis there is also a metal cable like on a bike on the pass side of the front bumper behind the toe hook cover. I can send you a pic or if you have an iPhone, use the app Knocking Vid and add vividracing. I will show you on the car live.

I just removed the Toe hook cover and I dont see a cable ....

 

Plug in a battery trickle charger, it will provide enough current to open the hood.

Don't ask how I know this !

 

When connecting the battery charger/extra battery to the clip in the fuse box port, use the key remote to open the hood -not the pull lever on the door sill. See #6 on instructions.

Thanks for the info,the problem is that the negative bat connector is not making contact and the circuit is open.
I found a exploded view and there is cable in the front near the wheel so I will try this tomorrow.

 

That's correct for a 997; left front wheel well. A technician recently showed it to me. I haven't tried to use it, but he said you have to remove the front inner fender liner.
