Hi all, any idea what an unknown dtc error stands for? Thanks

 

Who told you this? Was it someone like pepboys with a scantool? If so, its because they pulled a manufacturer specific code that they don't know the meaning to. Find what the actual code was (It's a letter followed by 4 numbers)

 

Actually this was one of the faults I had on my car, not sure what it means, you are correct I believe it was followed by a number code after the message <unknown dtc>. Can't remeber what the numbers were though. Thanks anyway.

Yes it was from reading the dme out. This was writtin on the screen.

 

I'm amazed that the porsche dealer scantool thought the code was unknown.

You'll have to get the actual code number before we can help, it could be a million things.
