With 997.2 rear bumper you will also get bigger exhaust cuts for a more agressive look.

alot cheaper + easier then you think (since the cars are old now and you can find mint used parts on eBay/forums) completely reverable as well (if needed).

it's only a rear bumper repaint (plastic), which imo is pretty common esp on front bumpers re fixing rock chips and what not.

997TT1911 is infamous around these parts
Just wanted to say I did the depo/dectane lights with the resistors. The look of the car is totally different. Everyone's been asking me why the car looks so much better. And so far, not one issue with them. I hope they last and perform well over the next few years but so far, had them for 1 month and love them. Best visual mod I've done.

....but, if they don't last for the year, I think I will go the whole rear bumper and 997.2 light route....seeing the car with LED rears, I now hate the OEM 997.1 look.

I've installed them and so far I am very impressed. Quality and fitment is spot on. No cutting/splicing wires or adding resistors. Simply plug and play. Plus comes with a warranty

I bought a complete used bumper in ebay for 550€ shipped. (Seller was Techart, they usually have lots of oem bumpers)
New led tail lights and FVD controllers were 1388€ shipped
New 997.2 bumper bracket was 30€

The FVD controllers are a bit expensive but it's plug and play and reversible.
There are other controllers that are cheaper but you need to cut existing wires. (Didn't knew about this option at the time)

997.2TT exhaust tips were 600€
It needs new exhaust or modify the existing exhaust for the new tips. I went with a Europipe special made for new bumper and exhaust tips.
REALLY? This is the first time I hear that it needs a new exhaust or modify existing? Am I missing something? I have an AWD on my .1 tt. Will that not work?

I didn't have to get an new exhaust system or tips for mine. I just used my existing TechArt exhaust tips with the cargraphic exhaust system with mine. I'm guessing that if you were to use the OEM 997.1 Turbo exhaust tips then it might look a bit too small for the much larger 997.2 exhaust opening.

Good. I meant to say AWE exhaust and PO had either AWE or Fabspeed quad tips. I also just purchased the .2 tips used just in case I want that look. I wanted to make sure the exhaust on a .2 didn't hang lower than .1.

Thanks

without going through 11 pages, what exhaust tips are needed on a 997.2 conversion rear end, when using an aftermarket exhaust? Same alignment but bigger diameter?

I have an OEM .2 conversion, and the AWE exhaust tips fit just fine in the .2 cut-out.

Yes you nailed it. Larger sized tips since the post conversion exhaust outlet area is larger. Many aftermarket exhaust tips are already larger then oem so an aftermarket 997.1 exhaust tip may look fine on a 997.2 rear conversion.

Atomic80 is running 997.1 techart exhaust tips which are large "enough" to fill in the new larger size 997.2 exhaust outlet nicely.
