Not sure I understand - are you replacing 997.1 with 997.2 tailights or 997.2 with 997.1 taillights - either way the light assemblies are a different size so they won't fit without a bumper modification.

But they are different sizes - round peg in a square hole. Here's what the Porsche dealer says:
NOTE: Significant bumper modifications required to fit this set, consider upgrading to the new style rear bumper (see related items below) to complete the upgrade. After you figure out how you're going to fit the fixture, you might look for the wiring harness/adapter that FVD sells - save you the trouble of splicing wires. 997.2 on the left and 997.1 on the right.

OK - sorry. Maybe the FVD adapter then is the solution to your electrical challenge.

Do not buy 997 taillights from Neo Production

Poor response and communication. I returned my taillight under warranty with a $35 processing fee. Today, still no resolution.

Pin 42 and 31

Hi guys first what a great post and what a great community. Does anyone know about the pin swapping for the rear module pin 42 to 31? The rear module has 3 plugs left one has 12 pins center has 23 pins and right one 12 pins, there not marked from 1 to 47 but rather marked individually 1 to 12, 1 to 23 and 1 to 12. If anyone has done this and knows the answer on which pins need to be swapped that would be appreciated. Thank you

Answered my own questions

After doing some research with the 997TT wiring diagrams I finally figured out a few things, when this post and many other posts say swap the rear pins #42 to #31 it should be noted that those pins are located in the front module on the blue plug, many have gotten confused included myself when the following "swap pin #42 to #31 for rear" to me this looked like swapping pins in the rear module, there are no such pins in the rear modules all the pin swapping if necessary is done in the front module and no pin swapping is done on the module located under the driver's seat. I'm almost done with my swap and will post pictures and module information on what my MY07 997TT required for the modules .

Exclamation

How are you guys doing?

I've just got my kit in, however it turn out with out the modules to my surprise , the sales person said that my car has the new software or module sense its a late production model of 2008 (based on my vin#), i shouldn't be needing the modules. if so, what is the next step?
