Does FVD flash raise rev limiter?

yes, whenever you raise the rl, you will record type 1 and 2's everytime you go above 6750 rpms. Nothing to worry about.
</td> </tr> </tbody></table>
hmmmm...i was told by another tuner that when he raises the rl it also raises the threshold for recording overrevs by the same amount.

Nope, to the ecu you are over-revving and tripping type 1 and 2's. Whether you achieve that by modifying the RL ceiling or missing a shift makes no diffference to the ecu. However, there is a way to side step it, but very difficult and probably of little value. I know the fvd/softronic style obd2 flashes for the most part trip 1 and 2s after raising the RL.

Just for some info the Softronic flashes can have the limiter raised or not. Now once it is raised it will index as the stock file does when the engine reaches the hard limiter. Basically if you floor the car and bounce of it it will index while driving. You would not gain in the over revs if you do not do this. As an example it could be raised to 9k in which is very high and it would not index unless you run into it at 9k. This would apply to any variable from stock and above.
