Softronic Tune for 997.2TT... First Ever PBox Run on 6Speed!
Agreed. I'm OK with differing opinions. No need to prolong this discussion.
It is warm over here don't worry
What i ment is don't run it too much because with high IAT the computer will start pull the timing.

It is logical that SC mode deliver more power and acceleration everywhere over and above what normal mode delivers. If it doesnt then the higher mode defeats its own purpose.
The numbers posted by Karim indict the car is faster and happier in stock tune from the get go. The gains shown in the upper speed range are surprisingly very minimal.
Given the .2 car is definately not slow in stock tune, i believe Mdrums has made some points worthy of attention and, consideration.
Here is the write up we did in testing the 997.2TT Softronic flash using non sport, sport, sport plus mode. - http://www.vividracing.com/forums/pr...7-2-turbo.html
Gents,
My apologies for not responding earlier.
There are many valid suggestions proposed by you. I will be out of town for the next week or so.
Upon my return, I will be running several tests and and logging data with PBox and Durametric.
I will post my PBox runs on this thread but, for proprietary reasons having to do with the tune itself, I have agreed not to publicly post the Durametric logs of the runs.
I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment and provide suggestions.
You 6speeders are elite!

Hmmm...who do I know who lives in Wisconsin...Oh I know...me!
Softronic tuned car was run in 101.3F weather. Without reducing EGT and IATs no tune is going to improve his times. Karim needs to give up his car to someone who lives in a cooler place...like Wisconsin, where the winters run down to -25F.

Anyhow, props to you for even posting and sharing your data, whether suboptimal or not. I'm sure you'll get it all worked out in the end.

Running in such a temp believe me bro no offence but doesn't deserve a reward
numbers are un comparable with any tuner out there

It reminds me of that famous poem:
"Water water everywhere, and all the boards did shrink,
Water water everywhere, and not a drop to drink!"

Thanks bro.

I got back to Kuwait a few days back.
I went out for some runs and Durametric logging.
Ambient was 95*F and Humidity was 49%.
I tried launching with many different combinations.
Normal mode, sport, and sport +.
I also tried different methods to launch:
Brake/gas launch at 2K rpm, 3K rpm...
Launch control, etc...
I will not post the PBox runs, unless asked to do so, as they are very similar results to what I already posted.
Conclusion so far:
It seems that whenever I get solid times 0-100 kph, my 100-200 kph times suffer.
Conversely, whenever I get weaker times 0-100 kph, my 100-200 kph times improve.
This is quite unexpected and, frankly, very frustrating.
I am in continuous contact with Scott Slauson and have sent him the PBox and Durametric log files. Hopefully he can do something about this...

. Didnt mean you

Sounds like something is wrong with your car-----or the p-box.. Anyone with a softronic tune knows the car is WAY FASTER than stock--WAY FASTER....
Everytime I drive my car, Im blown away by the difference from stock.. (Thanks to Craig at RPM North)!!!

I would ask for a more aggressive file (ie more timing or boost). Of course he may tell you its not safe to go there. In that case I would add some hardware like an intake or exhaust, if you havent already, and retune with that.
