I will get some pics, I ordered recent pair of ultinons via amazon.com one vendor on there sells them, no problems with amazon as the go through but your right, I avoid ebay, full of fakes. Although at $50 a pair the Garax look hard to beat, hell even at $100 a pair.

I would like to give Ultinon a try if I can find them at decent price and sold by good vendor.

I really like the Garax. You can tell that these are well made - with steel vs plastic prongs. Light output is suprisingly decent given temperature.

I am anxiously waiting for your other light mods Any ideas on how to incorporate LED lighting in the fog?

Wow - that looks good! Ok, must resist urge to change out bulbs... again.

Saw this pic of Ultinon on Amazon. This was sort of the color I was getting on my Viper. Perpahs it's the optics in the headlamp that provides different color on different cars.

lol

It isn't a perfect match, but it is the very closest that I could get.

Ive done some mods recently, soon I will get around to taking some shots. Ive done the hoen led sidemarkers recently, great mod but not as cool as the city lights, they look no different than other yellow lights but I do like how they look when turned off in the clear housings.

Ive actually decided not to do LED DRL's in the fogs, my reasoning is I see more and more cars with LED DRLs coming out and the more I see them the coolness factor is wearing on me. Looks like from recent commercials the new IS is running an LED strip on the lamps so pretty soon its going to be commonplace on all cars, not just European.

EDIT - actually that's not the same guy. Let us know how they turn out. Make sure Garax is noted on the bulb and there is serial number for warranty purposes.

Just got my Garax, from neweggmall. They are boxed in a garax box per the pics, bulb has no writing on the base. The lead is white and it has HY3H etched onto the capsule. Cant find a serial number, unless its whats etched into the glass?

I did the same thing - I wanted to save some money and originally ordered from JDMToys and got the same bulb. No serial number and the box is different. Here's picture of Garax bulbs and box I got from Carlighttrends:

A few differences were:

1. Newegg/Jdmtoys didn't have serial number or marking in white "Garax D2S.."

2. it was in foam box as opposed to plastic capsules above

3. box was different - the one from carlighttrends has a small clear plastic window to the side and description of the bulb is different.

Per my discussion with JDMtoys they admitted that they carry so called the lower end of Garax and therefore it's slightly cheaper I would have just kept mine if it wasn't for slight flickering upon startup. If you don't have any issues like what I experienced, there is probably good chance you will be OK. I presume temperature is to your liking?
