No, I have had it on for 2 years now just make sure its pointing the right way.I know this is for a none turbo but I can't see why it wouldn't work for a turbo.

Stock Airbox is very good.
Install a BMC drop in filter and call it a day.

Have you thought about BMC as some others have mentioned? I think you'll be surprised at the results from a simple drop-in filter as opposed to the cone-style intakes. Porsche did a really good job with the factory airbox.

Or, another option would be our Werks1 Carbon airbox....if you want the creme de la creme of 997 Turbo intakes.

The intake in the above they are referring to is our kit here - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/a...o-p-59684.html. It uses dual K&N cone filters as a TRUE cold air intake sealed off from the engine bay. If you are going to just put a BMC filter in the car, keep the stock box. We also sell those - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/f...e-p-60098.html
