I was just leaving the house and went around the corner and BAM!!! I lost all drive and just heard a grinding noise...Pushed the car back into the garage and jacked it up...It blew out the shaft on the rear passenger side...Grease is everywhere from the cv joint...I hope the dealer warranties this and doesn't tell me it's a wear and tear item...My orignal warranty is expired and now I'm on the cpo....

 

GL, they'll probably grandfather it in.

 

I hope they'll just fix it...Seem odd to have a part like that break with only 25k mile on the clock...

 

The dealer is suppose to call this morning and let me know what they found out...Wish me luck!

The dealer called saying the cv joint blew...It's covered under warranty and they are just going to replace the whole drive shaft for me...Should have the car back in about a week!

What did you do to make this happen? Did you get on it while it was cold? Have you ever hole shotted your car? What kind of power are you running, or are you stock? Wow this is kind of worrisome!

 

I have never launched my car...I let the car warm up in the garage for about 10 mins while getting ready to hit the gym...Got in my car and backed out...Drove about 200ft to the stop sign, made a right turn, and got to about 10-15mph in first gear and BAM! Also sorts of grinding noise and the car had no power...Ended up pushing the car back to the house lol! I only have exhaust and headers...

 

Very weird... But happy to see the warranty covered you!
